Favor Pleeease....
To all my blogger friends out there...if you could take a minute and vote. My older brother Brandon is in this modeling competition trying to kick start his singing career and to win money for school. The Las Vegas Review Journal is putting it on. He needs people to vote for him. There are 8 boys and every week they get a new picture put on the website and in the newspaper. Due to votes a contestant will be eliminated every week. And then the judges pick from the last 3 standing. So every week he needs to be voted for. Thanks a million! If you go to http://www.lvrj.com/, then click on fashion, scroll to image, on the left hand side it will have a picture of a girl model, click on the highlighted word. It will take you to pictures of all the contestants. There is also a video interview with each person. Then click the circle to pick his name, then push vote. You can only vote once from each computer a week. I already tried. Thanks!!!

Six Flags!!!
DeLoy did the cutest thing and surprised Markie and I with season passes to Six Flags for 08'. We can use them for the rest of this year too. It was soo much fun. They have so many rides for little guys like Markie. Half is a theme park and half is an animal kingdom. It is like sea world. They have a whale show, a dolphin show, sharks, lions, zebras, giraffs, monkeys, everything. And for Halloween the little kids got to trick or treat at every ride. I think that was Markie's favorite part. It was super fun to see Markie scream on some of the rides. Mean us. Thanks DeLoy for the fun day and gift!
Take me out to the Ballgame!
This is an old event, but I am finally catching up. In September we scored tickets to a Oakland A's game from a friend (thanks Maryanne!) to the best box in the house. It had 4 different kinds of meals, endless drinks, and icecream. It was right behind home plate. We went with some of our best friends, the Shipleys and the Clines. Markie loves watching sports sooo much! It doesn't matter what the sport is, he will just sit and watch it. It was so much fun.

We have been traveling and playing like crazy so I will put picks on some time soon. OH, and all my sisters and sister in laws are prego but one. So we took some fun pics, here they are. Funny Boy...
Markie only liked to take baths in the sink while we were in Hawaii. It was such a pain, but he had so much fun. Here are his crazy facial expressions...

We're Back!!!!
Hey all! I have been in Hawaii for almost a month and it was FABULOUS! DeLoy came for the first week and then had to go back to the books. We really missed him, but to be honest the beach took most of the loneliness away. (Sorry D) We stayed on the North Shore...way better then the city! We were across the street from the temple and BYU. Our house was right on the water so we hit the beach every day. Markie liked to destroy everyones sand castles, watch with amazement at all the huge crabs, and lay on the boogie board while I pulled him around, oh and of course follow his uncle Rico everywhere he went. He was so cute in his little simmers and his curly hair. I couldn't take enough pictures. At first he was so scarred of the water, but the last weeks he was a crazy man. He would run straight into the water, get knocked over by a wave and just start laughing.
Sorry, this is for my memory...We did the PCC, went on a catameran, went to the city, ate lots of junk food, snorkled at Sharks Cove and Hanamana Bay, went to Sunset Beach and Turtle Bay, hiked Waiamea Falls, saw sea turtles, boogie boarded, ate some more yummy food, went to a Lu'ao, (I don't know how to spell), went to the temple, and the Water Park, ate many Halos (aka-shaved ice), took a bay cruise, saw all the movie sets, took a jeep ride through the jungle (I don't know how Markie slept through it), went to Pearl Harbor, lots of shopping, went to the movies, went cliff jumping, went to the Dole Plantation, and the Macadamea Nut Farm, went on a train ride...and so much more.

Naughty, Naughty, Naughty...

The other day I was getting things done around the house when I noticed how quiet Markie was. When I went to see what he was up to...He was in the kitchen, had gone throught he garbage and found a snack. Yummmm. A really old bag of stale cheerios. The bag was dumped across the newly swept and mopped floor. He was so proud of himself I couldn't tell him it was a no no. When I got my camera and asked him what he was doing he made that face in the big picture. Too funny. He had cheerios stuck into the bottom of his feet. He kept picking them off and eating them. Lol. Sunday Best,

Markie looked so stink'in cute last Sunday I couldn't refrain from pulling out my camera. It was worth being late.
From playing in Nursery during Mommies mutual time on wed. nights, he now thinks that's where he should be during church time as well. As soon as sacrament is over he runs out of the chapel, down the hall, around the corner, and into nursery. He actually made it through the door a few times today. He always goes straight to the red bike. But he still has 2 more months. At least I know it won't be a hard transition.

Another Campout....
Well I deserve props...DeLoy was busy so I took Markie camping all by myself. Nothing was hard, but sleeping in a scary tent in the pitch black woods by my lonesome. I made Matt and Mike promise they would come rescue me if they heard screamimg. The only screaming was from Livy, then Markie, then Livy, then Markie, then Claw. It wasn't the best nights sleep, but we did have smores and great pancakes and dutch oven! Not to mention the killer racoons that attacked our camp site. We named him Claw Raul the third. It was a blast to hang with the Shipleys and Vandykes. Markie and me had a great time together even though we missed Daddy. Thanks guys for a great weekend!

We're Back!

So, we're back. We went to Seattle for DeLoy's little sister Kim's wedding. It was really fun. Wedding weeekends are always crazy but fun. She looked beautiful and it was really good to see everyone. Markie was so bad on the flight there. We took turns standing by the bathroom in the back of the plane while he screamed. Ohhhhh. And then we went camping, and then we went to Sacramento. So now I am taking a breath. I will post pictures later of all of our little adventures. Markie has two new teeth. That makes a total of 8. He just turned 16 months on the 2nd. And as for me...I look 5 months pregnant! They said you show faster with the second, but man! Tuesday, May 29, 2007
Take a Good Look........

That's right....I am prego with baby number 2! We are both very excited. DeLoy just continues to tell me how happy and excited he is. And how much he loves our little family. Considering how dreadful the last time around was, I am surprised he is being so optimistic. Most frequently asked questions........
1. How far along are you- I think a little over a month
2. Have you been sick- With Markie the barf started at 8 weeks, I have only felt sick so far and been extremely exhausted.
3. What do you want- Either really, but with a boy I would have to purchase less
4. How far apart will they be- Almost exactly 2 years
I love being pregnant, except for all the bad things about it (ha ha) and I am already so excited to hold my baby. I think this time around (the whole newborn thing) will be so much easier. My sister and 2 sister in laws are all pregnant so it is going to be really fun to experience this together. The baby will be about 4 months when we move home. See I am already thinking about how I will be driving alone with them both in the car to Vegas! Anyways, our little fam is expanding and I just love it.

1 Year Older and Wiser Too!
That's right I had my birthday! ( Me singing happy birthday to myself in my head) I am offically........still the baby of every group. I am 22. It feels like I have been this age for ten years. It was a great day. DeLoy gave me my present ( a Kitchen Aid) on the stroke of midnight. I think he was too excited to wait. I was so excited. I have been wanting one for everrrr. And I got a free icecream maker with it! The Shipleys watched Markie for us and we went to dinner and the movies. Thanks Becky!!! DeLoy also had his birthday in April. He turned 25! I got him a big ol' grill. He loves it. I was going to assemble it myself and have it ready on the patio when he got home from school, but it was wayyy too heavy for me to get it up stairs. It was a nice thought though. Oh and I thought that since Mr. Handy Dandy (my kitchen aid) is so beautiful he deserved a whole slide show of himself!Enjoy!!!!
I've been Tagged!
So, Janelle Bradford tagged me for the Five Fun Facts about myself. Since I did the 100 thing list it is going to be rather hard. This is for you Janelle. Well here it goes...
1. I love the smell of laundry coming from vents when your walking around outside. I seriously will just stand there for a good few minutes and breathe it in. It's the best on a chilly day, so that the warm air feels good. I am always on the hunt for yummy smelling laundry products. One day when I have money I will use like 2 cups of softener in each load. LOL.
2. I love to lay in the sun. Indoors or outdoors. If it is coming through the window and hitting my bed (what a perfect thing!) I will lay my face right where it is shining and take a nap.
3. The first thing I notice about people is their mouth. I love teeth and lips. The bigger the better for both.
4. I have a horrible long term memory. I try so hard to remember things from growing up and can't. It makes me so sad. That's what I get for not keeping a journal.
5. And lastly, I love baskin robins chocolate peanut butter ice cream. Mmmmm...good.

Oh My Goodness!
Ok so, I have bedroom furniture that my oldest sister had growing up. Then she went to college and I had it growing up. Now it is DeLoy and I's furniture. It is outdated, faded, and needs to be refinished. So I thought...how easy, I will just slap a coat of finish on there and it will look awesome. Markie will sit in the family room and play while he watches me out the glass door. It is 5 hours into the process of staining...I WANT TO KILL MYSELF! When I entered the house for the millionth time to retrieve Markie off the top of the kitchen table with my bills in his mouth I noticed the crayon drawings all over my windows. What a delight! Last week I stripped the old finish and removed the ugly hard wear. It went rather well. But today is a whole different story! It is barely soaking in any color, it looks grainy, and the color is so bad. At lunch time I caved. The phone book was out and I was calling for estimates. Which were way out of my budget! SHOCKER! So what am I going to do??? Half of the stuff is a new hideous black color and the rest is a light tan. I was going for a really dark chocolate color. Any ideas or tips for you crafty experts? I know Carly has refinished some stuff. But have any of you? Please help me...
