Me SAD!!

Me soo sad. Tonight was the last night we were all together as a family for the next three years. My parents leave in 6 hours for the airport. They report to the MTC tomorrow for their mission. We spent the entire day swimming, eating, playing, laughing, watching old home videos, crying, hugging, talking, and praying together as a family.

It was wonderful. I couldn't get myself to leave. D waited in the car with the boys ever so patiently. My parents are both so excited. I think my mom had a stomach ache all day. I bet they won't sleep a wink tonight. So I don't feel too bad for staying so late.

Steve and Misti were there too, but left before I took any pics. We are going up to Utah Sunday to see Elder Ballard set them apart. But it was still soo sad! The only advice my parents gave before they left was for us "to take care of eachother, always call, and always spend time together".

I already miss them!

Romney Taylor Sinquefield

My older sister Nicole had her fourth baby a few days ago. He is absolutely beautiful. He has soo much black hair, a perfectly heart shaped face, and tan skin. He is amazing. I already love him. Bailey, Payton, and Cannon can't get enough of him and are great big sisters and brother.

We had a surprise party for my parents the night before and Nicole kept saying, "she was feeling some pressure!" Thanks for holding out an hour after you got home, so you didn't ruin our party!
I don't have pics, but my brother Steve and his wife Misti has their second baby nine weeks ago too! His name is Mason. He is so stinkin cute.

Primary Idol

Markie attends the CTR 8 class that D teaches at church. The primary put on a "Primary Idol" Concert. Markie's class did a lip sync to "I'm so glad when grampa comes home". They dressed up like rock stars and had blow up guitars. It was super cute. Markie had the whole thing memorized, but when it was time for his class to perform he was too scared. So we cheered for them instead.

This is Markie all dressed up in his rock star gear before we left!!

Then after the show our car wouldn't start (like usual) so we put the kiddos in their jammies and hung out for a while in the humid heat. A while turned into a loong time, so we walked across the street to the grocery store and went shopping at 10 at night. I love when this happens(every day)!! The kids were so tired, but hung in there like champs. We killed time by taking pics of eachother.

Father Son Outing

Markie was finally old enough to go on the Father/Son campout.
D has been waiting for this for soo long.
Me, always worried about the fire.
Markie was so excited.

They went with Uncle Taylor and cousin Cannon who puked all over the tent in the middle of the night and had to sleep in the car.

I (being a good mom and wife) packed a perfect campout bag. With water bottles, snacks, underwear, change of clothes....it came back never even being opened. Won't do that again!

Markie insisted on wearing his full spiderman costum. Mask and all for his campout. D said he wore it the whole evening and finally let him put pj's on OVER it. Markie said, "the big kids thought it was cool"!

He loved the s'mores
He loved sleeping outside in the tent
He loved using his flashlight to go on bear hunts, even in the daylight
He HATED driving on the exteremely bumpy dirt road (thanks uncle Taylor)
He still reminds whoever is driving, "not to go on those bumpy roads I don't like".

The big 27!

D had his 27th birthday in April (i'm catching up).
If you know this man I call my husband, than you know that he LOVES sports almost as much as he loves me. He probably knows more details about players, teams, and stats then about me. SERIOUSLY! And I love him for this. Sooo....
What he loved about his birthday-
The tickets to Fri and Sat games where his favorite player Griffey was playing. Nicole and Taylor went with us and Markie on Friday it was soo cold and soo fun. On Saturday Nate, Tay, and D went for a boys only game.
What he DIDN'T love-
The hot date I took him on to a fancy restaurant was great, until we recieved our bill for $120.00. THAT'S RIGHT! Can you believe it? No drinks, no dessert, no appetizer. Obserd! Next time we try to be fancy we will stick with the OG! Seriously!
What he liked-
The cologne he recieved that was really a gift for me.

First Day of Basketball

Markie had his first Basketball skills class this week. He is taking it with his friend Brandon.
It was held at my old junior high school. Brought back memories of student council, playing the flute, holding hands, my crush, teachers, PE, and all the weird things about junior high. Funny.
Good thing I brought DeLoy (he couldn't wait to go watch) because it required parents to help. It would not have been easy with a baby on my hip and a skirt on.
Graham was very upset he could not participate. But he had the time of his life playing with the extra balls, jump ropes, and hulla hoops. Little Andrew sat the whole hour without a word right next to me. How do you make them do that Lacy??
Markie watched the class before him quite intently and was excited for his turn. He was the BEST in the class when it came to sitting on his bum stretching. But when it came to actually moving his body, running, dribbling, shooting...he was NOT so good. Ha ha.
He was sooo tired. I have been a bad mom. We have gone to bed late, I mean late everynight this week and then I make him RUN?! What was I thinking?? His little legs were giving out from under him.
He had tears in his eyes. He kept saying, "I can't do it Daddy, I'm too tired". Then his big coach would walk over with the most appropriate words for a 3 year old and say, "Don't say that, you CAN do it!" And with that, Markie would get a confused look on his face and stand up as straight as can be.
When he started screaming and laying on the floor I wanted to take him home (instead of being embarrased) but D said, "he can't just quit!) WHATEVER...he's 3! Ha ha.
The best part of the class was when the coach wanted (3 year olds) to dribble (on the first class) in and out of cones while looking up. HA!
Markie was first in line and the coach told him to bounce. He meant the ball. But Markie held that ball as tight as can be and jumped in the air. The coach said "NO, bounce the ball". The gym was soo loud. Markie held the ball even tighter and jumped in the air as high as he could. The coach started laughing and decided to have them stand in a line and learn to dribble instead.
It was very cute. I loved watching him. He has talked about it everyday. "Remember when I cried as basketball?" "I was really tired huh?" "I won't be tired next time."
